The Government announced on November 13, 2018 a special recruitment of 2000 PhD/Doctorat holders as lecturers in states’s universities to be conducted during a period of 3 years starting in 2019. In relation to this operation, the designated authorities in Cameroon are now accepting applications for the recruitment of 1000 PhD/Doctorate holders for the ongoing year. All Cameroonian living in Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand who meet the requirements are kindly invited to submit their applications at the Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Japan no later than May 21, 2019. All Cameroon nationals living in Japan are kindly informed that enrollments on electoral registers are now open at the Embassy for the year 2019.
From November 1st to November 3, 2018 the Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Japan undertook a duty trip to Seoul, in relation to complaints by compatriots in Korea facing challenges in the renewal of their expired passports. As confirmed by our Honorary Consulate in Seoul, over fifty Cameroonians were urgently in need to renew their passports following an amendment of the procedures for the extension of residence permits in Korea. While in the past, the pass issued by the Consulate allowed the citizens to renew their residence permits despite the expiry of their passports, the possession of a valid passport is now required.
